Marrying fashion design with furniture design: 3D-printed clownesque coffee table, inspired by 17th century ruffs that can be found on Velazquez’ portraits, oddly suggests an exciting shelf surface as a side effect. Table base made of steel sheet, powder-coated.

Made of 3D-printed PMMA, it is one of the very first 3D-printed furniture pieces for sale. It is made of laser-hardened PMMA or acrylic powder and infiltrated with epoxy resin, therefore it is porous and cannot be wiped, do not spill liquids or food, do not pens, pencils or other writing tools, their colors cannot be removed other than sanded away. Every trace of color, powder, oil, cream, liquid, food or any other thing that can rub off cannot be removed. This is state of the art of 3D print today. Clean water will leave a stain that will diffuse overnight. Handle with care.
