Jan Ekselius was born in 1946 and was influenced by the socio-economic growth of Sweden in the 1960s. He depicted an era that sparked both hope and anger, and triggered a truly destructive outbreak of ideology and movement. Within this framework, Se Jan's design is positioned to question functionality and question the parts used in each space.
In the 1970s, Jan Ekselius designed the Etcheter chair as a prototype for his studio at the Royal College of Art in London. This model became an iconic work at the time and provided global recognition for it. Later, he created a variety of furniture and design works, which, as some say, were overshadowed by his armchairs and other objects. In Pepita de Oliva, we attach great importance to the works of Ekselius. We have some artists who are unknown but waste quality.
