BIOGRAPHY
The Shoemaker Chair’s history began in 1936 in Odense, Denmark where it was first produced.
In the 70’s, the chair’s design was acquired by the young cabinetmaker Steen Werner and in collaboration with HB Trædrejei, they continued to make the chair to the same high level of craftsmanship as when it was first introduced.
In 1999, HB Trædrejeri was taken over by Steen Werner’s son Lars. Nowadays he and his wife Jette now own the brand.
The Shoemaker Chair by Werner is now exported worldwide.
