The Beam Sofa System designed by Patricia Urquiola and part of the Cassina I Contemporanei Collection since 2016, now evolves into a more welcoming version offering a further level of comfort. The Super Beam sofa system develops along the same geometric beam, the distinctive base of the model, which “lifts” the cushions that have been made deeper and thicker and that have a softer padding. The characterising armrest, which joins the backrest cushion in an enveloping embrace, has the same play of movement which can be adjusted to make the sofa even more comfortable.

The stitching around the edge of the Super Beam sofa system cushions has been embellished with a gathered seam, an aesthetic element created with extra leather or fabric. Elegant movements of folds on the seat, around the armrest, and on the top part of the backrest are created thanks to a precise distribution of the upholstery during the stitching phase.

Super Beam is a system made up of four padded elements, a simple articulation which, through various combinations, brings to life multiple landscapes for the living area. To complete the system there is a stand-alone chaise-longue and a series of rectangular tables that can be combined with the middle, end sofa or stand-alone elements, with a base supporting two tops – one rectangular and one round – set at two different heights.
