Kensaku Oshiro, who was born in Okinawa, has always been associated with Italy: he graduated 1999 from the Milan School of Design "Scuola Politecnica di Design" (SPD) and then collaborated with several design studios between Milan and London. In 2015 he founded his own studio in the Lombardy capital. He realized many projects for major Italian and European companies and received numerous international awards, such as the Elle De´cor France Prize in the category "Young Talent of the Year" (2006), the Design Report Award at the Salone Satellite in Milan (2006), the Red Dot Award (2008), the IF Design Award (2009) and a special mention at the Young Design Event (2012).
