PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The extra-wide armrests and the reclined seating position are the hallmarks of the furniture in this series.
It was Hans J. Wegner's extensive experiments with relaxation chairs in the early 1950s that led to the design of the GE290 series.
The front bow with the transverse front legs supports both the extra wide armrests as well as the combined side-edges and rear legs.
The nickname "Plank Chair" with reference to the wide armrests of the series is sometimes used in the mention of the chair.
